Xdrive

Xdrive is a service of America Online and is completely free of charge; all you need is an AOL email account, which is also free. Xdrive is one of the best online storage services on the web as far as features and security go.

However, this online storage service only offers one account option that gives you 5 GB of Internet storage.

Price & Value

Xdrive offers many functional features that will help you upload and share your files. There are many pre–made folders and you can add some of your own to organize your files. You are able to view your photos and listen to your music directly from the interface. This is a practical feature; for example, you could be at a friend’s house and share your favorite tunes without downloading them.

Xdrive has a new beta feature called Web Grab. Through Web Grab, you can download music, videos, pictures and other files from the web directly into your Xdrive space. The files never reach your computer until you’re ready to use them.

Cloud Access

Xdrive offers multi–level security so you can share your files securely with friends and family. All of your data is protected by SSL encryption and your account is password protected.

Security

Xdrive offers a free account with 5 GB of storage space.

Help & Support

Xdrive has an intuitive interface that is easy to navigate. There are four main storage areas: Xdrive, Photos, Music and Bookmarks. Within each section, you are able to create and manage your files. The upload, download, new folder and move buttons make organizing your files quick and easy.

Summary

If you want a free account and 5 GB is sufficient, Xdrive is an excellent option. This online storage service has tons of features integrated into an easy–to–use interface.
